Pulpo Island - Isla Mitjana
- Description: This dive site is just off the headland between Altea an Benidorm. It is possible to dive all the way around the Island on one visit. The dive starts on the south side in around 5m of water and we circle the Island to a maximum depth of 30m. Here we usually have the most fish life in the area with the Island being well known for it’s population of octopi and barracuda. Barracuda average 60cm in size but during certain periods barracuda measuring 1.5m have been seen. This is a 2-tank dive due to the distance covered – the second dive is often carried out at Elephant Cave.
