Used to come in this area since a long time and passionated about diving, I have tried nearly all clubs in the surroundings. And I have to recognize
that I have never met such a good one, since the new owners took it over. They are THE best in that area. Trust me!

What can you expect? Kind & thoughtfull service with anticipation of all your needs before asking, friendly & international atmosphere with loyal
clients that you meet year after year. A big asset : you just jump from the centre into the boat, as located in a harbour. Storage room for your
material that will be taken care of (dried, stored and prepared for your following dive), all confort showers (with even a mirror!) and restrooms,
enjoyable sitting place outside to fill your log book or have a chat. Well organised & timely dives at a wide variety of sites. Large offer of courses
also available. Consideration for security. All in one a very motivated team with an outstanding infrastructure.

Just a quick note to say thanks for the dives that I did with you. I've been diving many places around the world but can say that I was very
impressed by the quality of service and general friendliness form everybody at Las Basettes.
I'll be back to dive some of the other sites either later this year or next year as I really enjoyed both the days that I dived with you all. I'll definitely be recommending the dive centre to other friends of mine in UK.

Hi guys was with you for a week with the lads and one lass from Rugby dive club ( the cheeky scouse with 5 kids ) had a great time, great dives, ( caves were best ) and the party after picking up the rubbish was great, free beer and food and a t-shirt what more could we ask!! And last but not least you guys and girls made us all feel very welcome and part of the dive centre for the week we were there, anyway its raining here better get back to work and stop day dreaming about dives in warm weather.

Hello Viv and Del and Bob and Petra!
Thanks very much for providing a great diving experience during my recent holiday! The guys had obviously got well into holiday mode by the time I arrived with you Thursday morning and by the end of my first day, real life in the UK was a long long way away. I very much hope I will be back when the water warms up again. Think I shall be falling in Vivian Quarry up in North Wales this Sunday - and I will be wearing my bright red Les Basetes bobble-less hat with pride. I hope you have a good winter and take a well earnt break.

JOHN O'CONNOR- UK

Many many thanks for a fantastic weeks diving. For me it was one of the best trips I`ve been on. The whole trip went without a hitch except for DJ, the grumpy one, (he got collared for excess baggage - his DSMB must weigh 10 kg on its own). He`s now not a big fan of Easyjet. He has said he will never fly with them again. Stellios won`t be able to sleep willl he ?
As we speak, Alan, the educated one is putting together a Trip Report. As soon as it is finished I will send you a copy.

Many thanks for the diving this last week, and thanks to you both for the excellent service and facilities.
I am sure all of the group enjoyed the trip, we will be looking at bringing newly qualified divers down sometime next year.

We were really impressed at how you and the rest of the team were so accommodating, patient & relaxed. We thought that the diving in the area was great; the visibility was good, the dive sites were really interesting & the amount of sea life to see was particularly impressive! it was a great expirience to dive with Luc! I really liked it to dive at les basetes to do my open water corse! I've already dived here in Holland and also 3 times in the red sea! I'm sure that I will come back next year and maybe in oktober to do a next corse. I come to spain all my life and I hope that I can do that to in the future, and I also hope that I can dive every year at les basetes. and of corse I want to say Hey to Petra!!!

Thanks for a great week at Les Basetes Dive Centre. Friendly atmosphere with fantastic service and facilities. Where else can you find the RIB's a metre from the front door? ... primed and ready to whisk you away to enjoy all your underwater adventures. With the free EAN, local knowledge, helpful dive briefs and the quality of sea life, not forgetting "playtime" on the DPV's!! makes the diving a truly unforgettable experience.
I've been fortunate to have dived in lots of exotic locations around the world where good service is an expected part of the deal. I must say that nothing bar nothing is too much trouble for either Del, Viv, Bob or Petra, I can fully recommend this excellent dive centre.

PPS. Vivian Quarry was very wet (especially at the bottom) and very cold!

LIZ BILNEY- AUSTRALIA

I did my open water course whilst holidaying in Spain - have to admit a bit nervous but the great friendly atmosphere at les Basetes helped a lot in overcoming that. Del was a fantastic instructor with a lot of patience and reassurance - and thanks to Bob for helping me with my dives after the course. Fell in love with diving because of les Basetes and will now continue that in Australia.

DR. MICHAEL ALVERS - GERMANY

I did both the OWD and the advanced OWD at Les Basetes and must say I had a lot of fun. The very familiar atmosphere, the friendly and professional people at the center make it a great experience diving there. The rental equipment is in top shape and the facilities are good. Hot showers and enough space for dressing is available. Also the great flexibility arranging tours according to the skill level is a great plus. I always felt good and can fully recommend the center for all who want to learn a lot but at the same time have some fun!

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the dives that you took me on a fortnight ago. I thought you were both very professional, made me certainly feel very relaxed despite my experience, and I certainly would recommend you above anyone else in the area.

Sue and I did a check dive and a boat dive in June 2005.
We enjoyed the whole experience.
We can not find any fault whatsoever, having said that, both of us are new to the hobby, so in fairness, we do not have any experience to compare this centre with anywhere else.
We found all the staff: professional, helpful and good fun.
We will not hesitate to promote Les Basetes to any friends who may go diving in Calpe.
We wish them all the success for the future in this venture.

I did my open water dives with Del, and managed to pass, even suffering from a bout of sea sickness! I think Viv and Del have a great business and wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to take their course with Del - and much warmer than the UK.

My son Brage and I have been diving at Les Basetes a couple of times over the last few years when visiting Alfaz del Pi :-) We have had nice boat trips to Calpe, both guided and on our own, and good service as to gear rental, advice on shore dives etc. We are looking forward to going on longer boat trips next time we turn up (when the boat is fixed properly ;-D ) Scuba greetings from Raufoss, Norway!! Good points; Nice deal on gear rental for several dives, doing trips even with only 2-3 divers, nice atmosphere, easy access, has always been open when we have been to Spain

Just got back from another diving trip with Les Basetes Dive Centre. 3rd
trip this year to Spain.
Introduced two friends to the centre in June and my wife and son in August
and three diving friends last week. In all, we have found Del and Viv and Co
to be as helpful as possible. They have shown us different dive sites every
time to fit in with peoples experience and we have always had a good laugh
and good time (whatever the weather throws at us).
Will be back with new and returning divers. Worth the drive from Benidorm to
find such a good dive club on the Costa blanca.
Free Nitrox and extras. Great.

I have dived with Les Basetes Dive Centre for almost a year now.
I found the centre by accident, when the centre I used to dive with became blasé about their customers.
I was amazed at the location and the facilities, together with how pleasant the owners Del & Viv are, with their customers. Del & Viv are genuine people and, although they are running a business, they are not all about 'fleecing you' like other dive centres that I am familiar with. I love the diving in this area, which is quite varied and unusual. The sea temperatures are good all year round, there is little tide and very rarely do you struggle with currents. Because of this, the viz is generally very good as well. The sea life is very varied, including Sunfish, Dolphins, Rays, Octopus, Cuttlefish, Barracuda, Grouper and many more. The Spanish omelette's next door in Timon are lovely and make a good snack during a surface interval. The adjacent Bay is excellent for confined water sessions and for a 'shake down' dive. There is also much to see in safe sheltered waters, which is good for your family if you decide to go for a dive and need other entertainment while you gone. The things that put Les Basetes 'head & shoulders' above other dive centres in this area, is the location of the moorings of the dive boats, one stride from the dive centre door. The fact that the centre has two RHIB's. Diving is fully operational all year round. They supply and mix their own Nitrox. Furthermore, they are both very experienced divers, having dived for many years in the UK. Above all, they know what they are doing. In my opinion, the dive centre is fabulous and you will always win my custom whilst diving in the Costa Blanca, even if Benidorm Island is miles away!!!

Having passed our theory and Pool dives in the UK we completed our
Open Water at Les Basetes.

As a family of 4 we dived as a group with Del and Ron. They were fantastic,
very re-assuring which even made the under water disciplines almost enjoyable!!!!!!.

We have re-visited Les Basetes many times since and have enjoyed many varied dives
around the Ifach and Table Mushroom at Moraira. Bob has looked after us on recent dives,
his pre-dive talk is always on the mark which just builds confidence.

We will be back soon a night dive our next challenge. GOOD STUFF.
